Arbor Medical presciption policy
As of 7/1/18 Arbor Medical Group will no longer be taking over prescriptions for controlled medications including pain medications (tramadol, hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, fentanyl, soma and others), benzodiazepines (ativan, lorazepam) and ambien for safety reasons.
In an effort to promote patient SAFETY, Arbor medical has made the following changes to its prescription drug policy:
All prescription refills must be called in by the patient.
Arbor Medical will no longer take electronic refill requests or request from the pharmacy due to safety issues
All refills require verbal confirmation of dosing by the patient
To ensure that medications get refilled in a timely manner, all refills must be called in at least 14 days in advance
If a medication requires a prior authorization from your insurance , please allow a minimum of 30 days for a refill
If you are a patient of Dr. Padman’s you will need to have lab work on file a minimum of every 365 days (or more frequently per the discretion of the prescribing physician )
Failure to attend scheduled appointments may result in an inability to fill medications
Medications will not be filled after working hours or on the weekends
Arbor Medical continues to work in a manner that promotes both patient safety along with medication adherence in an effort to encourage optimal health outcomes. Thank you for your cooperation .
